GENERAL QUESTIONS
1. WHERE DOES THE NAME "SKYBELL" COME FROM?
Answer: It comes from a combination of the name "Skyler" and "Bella", two of the children in our family. Love 'em.
2. WHICH AREAS DO YOU SERVE?
Answer: All of Gauteng. Further on arrangement for overnight stay. We are based in Pretoria.
3. DO YOU PERFORM AS A DJ AT A CLUB?
Answer: No - it's not a very well paid job, but we CAN mix and have very professional equipment. We prefer customer engagement over anonymous music playing.
4. WHICH GENRES ARE YOU BEST AT? AND WORST AT?
Answer: We are best with current Electronic Dance Music, Pop, Rock, House, Afro-House, Deep House, Techno, Rock and Roll, Afrikaans, Country, Oldies, 80s Pop, 80s Rock, 80s Italo and Hi-NRG.
Although we have these songs and can play any, our knowledge and experience are probably worst with Metal and Gospel ... also Bangra :-).
5. WHAT DO YOU REQUIRE FROM ME (the customer)?
Answer: Access to a working and grounded power-point within 40m of setup area. Ceiling height of minimum 2.6m, else we cannot setup the display unit. Cover from rain and dust if it is an outside function. Assistance with access if it is in a controlled area.
WEDDING-SPECIFIC QUESTIONS
1. MAY WE REQUEST SONGS ON THE NIGHT?
Answer: We are there to serve and we welcome any request! If you prefer that your guests do not steer the party off-track with their requests, we can gently make sure that the requests stay within the feeling you want for the event (if so required). Else we will try to fulfill all requests where possible. If you are looking for a specific song or genre / music-style, please communicate this to us in advance. This way we can make sure to prepare the right songs and to avoid any disappointments.
2. ON THE DAY LOGISTICS?
Answer: We prefer to complete the setup well in advance, prior to the arrival of your guests and would need to start with the setup at least 2-3 hours before the ceremony starts / start time indicated by you.
3. CATERING REQUIREMENTS?
Answer: We welcome to be included in the catering arrangements ... 12 hours on-site makes one hungry! However, we cater for our own drinks, so no need to worry on a bill-shock later. If you cannot cater for us, please let us know in advance so we can bring some sandwiches with ;-).
